Guiding principles
Along my years of experiences, I have set guiding principles that defines my approach, as a promise to the work that I do, as well as foundation when challenges arise.
Life centric approaches : fueled by the needs, the frustrations and the aspirations of both users and society to articulate powerful strategies, and drive meaningful innovations.
My heart. My promise to every project, product and solution that I envision. An essential component of my definition of Design. I believe in a user and society centric type of innovation, where technology can be a formidable enabler.
Getting lost ( with a compass ), to find new ways.
Getting comfortable with discomfort, in the unknown. Taking the time questioning, investigating, before looking for answers. This is different than lengthy processes, but instead, knowing how to build a successful approach to innovation, brick after brick.
Serving. 为人民服务 ( "wei ren min fu wu" )
This principle comes in way back to my years of practice in design agency, in China. It is a very intimate mindset for me, both professionally and personally. It resonates to how I interact with people, how I lead and inspire, but also I how envision my work : serving the (many) people.
Growth mindset - continuous learner
Learning from all experiences, successes, but more important, failures. Exposing myself to change, discovering new possibilities, and along the way, bring others with me in this journey. Finding new ways, again.
